Hello and welcome! We are Matt & Suzy, a husband-and-wife team of mental health professionals and founders of Halcyon Wellness. We are united by a shared vision: to create a peaceful, calming, therapeutic space inspired by the ocean's timeless rhythms, where you can find clarity, embrace change, and work through life's challenges. Our journey began with a dream to blend our professional expertise with our deep love for the sea, creating a sanctuary where individuals can feel heard, understood, supported, and empowered to make positive changes in their lives. Together, we bring a unique blend of skills and passions to our practice. Matt is a licensed Nurse Practitioner, currently with 12 years of nursing experience utilizing skills across various settings, most recently focusing on psychiatric care for the past five years. Suzy is a licensed Clinical Social Worker/Psychotherapist, currently with 10 years of experience, utilizing a range of skills and interventions in practice from evidence-based treatment modalities to support each person on their individual journey. Our combined education, training, and experience allow us to offer an integrative and holistic approach to mental health and wellness, grounded in compassion, trust, empathy, collaboration, and guided by our shared passion for the calming and healing nature of the ocean. In our practice, the ocean serves as both metaphor and muse. Just as the sea ebbs and flows, we believe in the natural rhythms of healing—sometimes gentle, sometimes powerful, but always transformative. We believe that every person has the capacity for growth and resilience, and our role is to provide the tools, support, and guidance necessary to unlock that potential.
